Instead of just throwing these products away, there are two options. Many people choose to refill their own ink cartridges. This can be a very inexpensive way to keep your printers running, and it is surprisingly easy. Unfortunately, it can take up valuable time. On the other hand, there are recycling programs ready to take your used printer parts. Many stores offer recycle bins that you can just throw your old and used up products in next time you go to purchase new cartridges.

Another good idea is to search online for companies that will actually pay you for your spent printer and copier cartridges. Although some used products are only worth a few dollars, others may be worth upwards of twenty or even thirty dollars. Not only is this a great incentive and the perfect way to keep printing costs down in a very competitive time, it is also a very easy way to do your part in striving for a more environmentally responsible and sustainable world to live in for future generations.
